Updated: Jul 7, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL -- An all-inclusive, first-of-its-kind retreat will explore the deep and intricate connection between cannabis therapeutics, alternative wellness, and women’s spirituality.
The Women’s Cannabis Wellness Retreat held July 19-21, 2019 at Wyndham Oceanside Resort, Deerfield Beach, FL., puts a spotlight on women seeking ways to naturally heal, learn, connect and support each other. The retreat, sponsored by Trulieve, GrowHealthy, and RiSE dispensaries and focusing on holistic health and cannabis, features expert-led workshops on the medical, legal and spiritual connection between women and this powerful healing plant.
Speakers include Shira Adler, advocate and author of The ABCs of CBD; Dr. Michelle Weiner, who will address how cannabis and CBD promote wellness in the body; licensed massage therapist Shamaya Chah, who will present on CBD and offer a guided CBD massage session; Azlina Siegel, Esq., who will explain Florida’s medical marijuana laws; Susan Joyce Proctor, who will explore CBD’s role in addressing symptoms of menopause and women’s health; and Laura Lagano, a cannabis-trained functional nutritionist who will be both presenting and helping to design delicious and healthy meals for the event.
“This team of inspirational women is known for their leadership, expertise, and experience in cannabis, hemp and holistic health movements nationwide,” Adler said. “We are inviting women to share in the most intimate, and yet nationally-resonant conversation around cannabis today—women’s health and self-focused care.”
In addition to educational seminars, the weekend includes spiritual healing practices: yoga, sound healing, past life regression, massage, acupuncture and more. Individualized coaching for those interested in becoming patients in Florida’s medical marijuana program will also be available. An artisan marketplace with samples, prizes, and community connection will encourage guests to explore CBD and other wellness and curated products against the backdrop of ocean waves. Women can let loose and celebrate with a belly-dancing class, as well as a special Saturday evening concert featuring singer award-winning singer/songwriter Ellen Bukstel.
Ticket prices for this all-inclusive event start from $125 for the Saturday program to $760, for the full length of stay, meals and all activities. All food will be vegetarian, with vegan and gluten-free options available. For tickets go to http://bit.ly/WomensWellnessEventbrite or contact Proctor at susanjoyceproctor@gmail.com.
